Departments Registry Services

Registry Services at MECIT is an important administrative unit in the college and is responsible for extending diverse academic and administrative services to students, faculty members, staff, parents/guardians and sponsors.  The department oversees the implementation of academic regulations governing programmes as well as administration of the range of programmes’ offered by MECIT. Registration Office, Student Records Unit and Examinations Office form an integral part of the Registry.

Registry Services enrols new students, assists existing students to register modules every semester, schedules classes for all programmes, maintains definitive lists of students enrolled on various programmes, monitors student attendance and keeps track of the status, progression and awards of students and acts as a main source of communication for students, parents, guardians and sponsors. The department is responsible for Module Forecasting, Module Registrations, (College Information System) CIS Configuration/Updating, printing and issue of letters, transcripts, and certificates to students and maintenance of student scholarship records. Registry Services Unit also extends assistance to other departments and units in the College. The unit conducts the Annual Graduation Ceremony and maintains Alumni information.

Registry Services is located on the second floor of the Teaching and Learning Block (Room No. 213), and works through Saturday to Wednesday from 08.00 am – 13.00 pm and from 15.00 pm to 19.00 pm. Registry could be contacted on the following email address registrationdepartment@mecit.edu.om.
