One of the main attractions of studying at MECIT is the range of accommodation available for the students. MECIT offers accommodation in the form of Halls of Residence for our students. All the hostels are within the reach of the Campus. These halls of residence provide each student with the opportunity for living as part of the student community and for establishing friendship with peers who have varied interests and backgrounds. There are separate Halls of Residence for male and female students.

The experience of operating MECIT Halls of Residence suggests that the key to having an enjoyable time in the halls is to get to know fellow residents and the wardens and take part in the various activities that promote a community environment conducive to academic studies and positive social experience.

The Halls of Residence also have amenities such as round the clock security for the safety of students, trained wardens to handle student issues, recreation rooms, study rooms and provision for laundry and cooking, thus ensuring that the students are comfortable and safe. Additionally, students are provided with services like weekly shopping trips, provision of transport for visiting a doctor to the hospitals.

MECIT is currently in the process of developing on campus student accommodation that will be capable of accommodating 576 female students. The project is scheduled to begin by September 2010 and completed by September 2011.
