Welcome to the Records Management and Archival Centre. The centre offers a specialized Diploma and Bachelor degrees in Contemporary Archives Science. This programme is not available in the majority of the Arab countries and Oman is the first Gulf country to offer this specialization. The contemporary archives science is an integrated field that combines the requirements of records management and the classical archives methods which are concerned with history and memory. Middle East College of Information Technology, with the collaboration of The National Records and Archives Authority of Oman, Is the first educational institute to provide the program needed for the students and employees who are recruited for their higher education degrees (Diploma- Bachelor) in the field of records management and archives.

Putting up a structure dedicated to this training program (a department) together with a core of stable teaching body whose members will increase with the rising needs for training is considered.

To equip students with the basic concepts and techniques in records management and Archives.
To prepare students to be well qualified as future employees.
