MECIT is devoted to the community and strongly believes in serving its immediate society. As part of MECIT’s commitment to community outreach, it consistently nurtures its staff and students to be responsible citizens through MECIT’s strong culture. As MECIT’s curriculum is designed in a way that encourages active participation towards community service.
As part of MECIT’s community outreach, we conduct various activities that involve students, staff and the society at large. Some of the key events organised over the years on a consistent basis include:
-
Orphan’s Day: A charity fund raising event that involves students, business houses and staff to create an opportunity to raise funds and create a fun environment on one day for the “orphans".
-
Blood Donation Camps: In association with the ‘red cross’ society; the college organizes a blood donation camp every semester, this is initiated and managed by the student council of mecit in tandem with the health club.
- Traffic safety awareness drive: As the name suggest the student community at MECIT personally feel the importance on road safety especially after considering Oman to be the highest road fatalities in the world. This event is conducted in association with ROP, where we thrive to educate the society on best practices on road safety.
